Vincent Dawans
brings talent to Virtue Ventures in: operations management, process engineering, strategic planning, critical analysis, financial management, business and systems analysis, performance evaluation and measurement, software design and development and knowledge management.
Vincent started his career in the private sector as an IT specialist and end-user liaison for Dow Corning Europe, where he learned to use his analytical mind to translate technical concepts into plain language as well as business needs into technical requirements. This led him to work as a computer instructor for a couple of years, then as a systems analyst and developer for another four years and on to management consulting. Since joining Virtue Ventures he has worked with a variety of social enterprises and international development agencies. Vincent conceived the Four Lenses Framework, and helped develop the typology and put it into a web format. He has worked with Alter to outline the broad strokes for an Integrated Approach to social enterprise. An experienced strategic planner, management expert and trouble-shooter, Vincent has a no-nonsense creative solutions approach to helping nonprofits and social enterprises.
He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and master's degree in Business Management from the prestigious ICHEC Business School, Brussels, Belgium. He is a native French speaker; is fluent in English, and has working knowledge of Spanish and Dutch. He has worked on projects in East Africa, West Africa, India, Peru, Indonesia as well as around the United States.
